Your run data stays in your browser

Distances, times, scale ratios, locomotive names, throttle labels and directions are processed in your browser. Saving a run writes it to this site’s IndexedDB storage on your device. We do not upload or sync that run log. Downloading CSV creates a file locally from the shown runs.

This is not a backup service. Private browsing, storage restrictions or clearing site data may prevent saving or remove records. Download a copy of important measurements. Removing a run can be undone while the page retains that last removed run; leaving the page ends that undo opportunity.

Limited usage measurement

When you calculate, save a run or request a CSV download, the page sends a small event to this site. It contains only an action name and whether the visit is marked as a test. The server stores daily UTC counts by action and test status, with a 90-day retention period. It does not store the measurement values, labels, page query, IP address or a visitor identifier in that event database. A download event counts the request, not a confirmed file save.

These event requests do not use cookies. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals suppress them. There are no third-party analytics, advertising scripts or remote fonts on this site. Saved run storage is for the tool’s function, not tracking.

Hosting and contact

Cloudflare serves this website and processes network information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect requests. That hosting activity is separate from our limited aggregate event database. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Emailing the operator shares the information you include with the email service and recipient. Avoid sending confidential data.

This utility is supplied for hobby measurement and comparison, without a warranty of measurement accuracy or suitability for a particular layout. Check inputs and results before relying on them. It does not control trains, certify safe operation or provide decoder programming instructions. No account, payment or subscription is required.

External sites have their own terms and privacy policies. No advertising or affiliate tracking is currently enabled.
